I recently started exploring the Sex Tech industry, excited to get into it.

Here I’ll share some cool links and companies I found to help you in your search!

Lists of Companies

  • Crunchbase — currently lists 37 companies in the industry

Companies

  • Future of Sex Lab — The Future of Sex Lab is a joint partnership between Bryony and global venture studio, Josephmark. The Lab identifies, develops and launches ventures that intersect technology and sexuality — going beyond sex toys to progress sex education, intimacy skills, gender identity, medicine and so much more. The website offers limited info on the Lab, but has a contact address for the founder: bryony@futureofsex.org
  • MakeLoveNotPorn — this is a platform that aims to change the porn industry, showing real live couples having real sex, not the scripted, unrealistic depiction seen on PornHub. Videos can be purchased for $5/piece. It’s received $2m of funding according CrunchBase. The contact email for partnerships is listed as cindy@makelovenotporn.tv
  • Unbound — sex toy company. They are currently looking for a Chief Growth Officer
  • O.school — O.school is building a shame-free space by offering pleasure education through live streaming and moderated chat, currently hiring a Social Media Intern and Web Developer. The contact email is listed as HELLO@O.SCHOOL
  • Dipsea — The first audio platform for sexual wellness. Dipsea sexy audio stories & intimate guided sessions are available via iOS, Android & web app. They’re hiring for a range of positions including marketing and content and design
  • Sharesome — Sharesome is an adult social platform that helps you connect with your favourite content creators. Better yet, think of us as a community where your kinks are finally free to run wild. Here at Sharesome we try to create an environment where you are welcomed no matter what your fantasies are. It is free and will forever remain free. Contact email is listed as social@sharesome.com

Hackathons

Hackathons are a great way to get into an industry. It seems that there is a limited amount of them happening. The last I could find was:

  • SexTech NYC — happened in NYC in 2017. It included 50 participants. I’m not aware of future hackathons, but this is a good page to look for links to other innovators
  • SexHack — I believe this happened Apr 2020. It had quite a bit of people as well. This is a link to their Slack group, may be a good place to network
